When New York legalized cannabis, justice-impacted entrepreneurs answered the State’s call. We opened businesses. We created jobs. We invested in communities that had been disproportionately harmed by prohibition.
We did our part — and we delivered the foundation of this market.
Now, it is time for the State to fulfill its promise. This Lobby Day demands that New York honor its equity commitments by protecting and sustaining the operators who built this industry from the ground up. It advances CAURD, Inc.’s core mission to drive equity through unified advocacy, legal support, and policy reform — and it sends an unmistakable message to Albany: The time for symbolic gestures is over. The time for action is now.
