Farmer’s Choice established a unique rhythm with its first dispensary in Fishkill. The partners, Sharif Jamal, AJ Jamal, and George Vlamis, set out to curate a vibe and design a cannabis retail shop that would provide their customers with an experience like no other. As you explore one of the largest menus in the Hudson Valley in a space reminiscent of a farmers’ market, you encounter a real tractor, a life-size cow statue (named Maybelline), mason jars full of flower, and astroturf under your feet.

Farmer’s Choice’s second shop, open now in New Paltz, where the Jamals grew up, expands this playful and successful vision across a sprawling 3000-square-foot retail floor within a 5000-square-foot barn. Expect to meet a whole cast of farm animals, even more brand activations and interactive artist pop-ups, glowing art installations, and a staff of humans committed to helping you have as great an experience with the products you take home as you did while visiting their dispensary. Farmer’s Choice’s New Paltz shop is now award-winning too, having recently won “Dispensary of the Year” by Consumer Ratings Institute. Their team’s vision and their audacity to create these unique environments will certainly allow Farmer’s Choice’s to expand to more towns and maybe even a city near you.
