The Other recently covered Revelry 2024, a dynamic two-day cannabis trade show and cultural celebration held on October 4th and 5th at Pier 36 in Lower Manhattan. The event highlighted the explosive growth of the cannabis industry and showcased New York’s distinct and evolving cannabis landscape.
Friday’s Revelry Buyers’ Club was an exclusive, industry-only affair that attracted over 1,000 cannabis professionals. There were about 250 vetted retailers who were able to explore offerings from more than 180 exhibitors, including cultivators, processors, and brands. The energy was electric as connections were forged, innovative products were discovered, and the future of New York’s cannabis market unfolded before our eyes.
Saturday’s Revelry Cannabis Festival opened its doors to the public, transforming Pier 36 into a bustling hub of cannabis culture and commerce. Over 100 legal NY cannabis brands showcased their products, offering a comprehensive look at the state’s burgeoning industry. The Festival was a sensory overload in the best way possible – a perfect blend of business, education, and entertainment.
Throughout the day, panel discussions and presentations provided a wealth of information to the festival attendees. As the exhibit part of the festival began to wind down, festival attendees shuffled into the consumption area to see Keynote speaker Angela Yee captivate the audience with her insights. Then, the festival shifted gears, kicking off two hours of electrifying music performances. Joey Bada$$ headlined the event, while Kota the Friend delivered a powerful set. Statik Selektah treated the audience to an unexpected thrill with a surprise appearance. DJ Odalys kept the energy high, spinning tracks that perfectly captured the vibe. As the sun began to set, the music and festivities drew to a close, leaving attendees with memories of an unforgettable day.
One of the festival’s most striking features was the live mural creation by world-famous graffiti artist HEKTAD. Watching this piece come to life throughout the day added a dynamic visual element to the already vibrant atmosphere.
What set Revelry apart was its celebration of New York’s diverse cannabis community. From legacy operators to new entrepreneurs, from activists to enthusiasts, the event truly reflected the rich tapestry of cultures and experiences that make New York’s cannabis scene unique. The inclusion of culinary talents and the ability to purchase premium cannabis products directly from brands (in compliance with NY’s delivery regulations) added extra layers of excitement to the festival.
