Serenity Warner — Two Buds Dispensary

For Serenity, budtending is rooted in a simple belief: cannabis improves people’s lives, and education is how you help them get there. Since joining Two Buds Dispensary, she has become a trusted guide for first-timers and seasoned consumers alike—someone who takes the time to understand what a customer actually needs and finds genuine satisfaction when the recommendation lands. “I like being able to change people’s perspectives, answer their questions, and make sure they leave feeling confident in what they chose”
Why is cannabis important to you?
Cannabis is important to me because it helps people in so many different ways. Some people use it to relax, some for sleep, some for creativity, and some just to enjoy the experience socially. I like being part of an industry where we can educate people and help them find something that actually improves their lifestyle.
Share a cannabis moment that would be of interest to our readers.
Being part of the legal cannabis industry in New York has been a big moment for me. Watching the shift from stigma to normalization has been amazing. Now people from all walks of life come into the dispensary curious and open to learning. Being able to guide them through that experience is something I really enjoy.
Describe a typical day at Two Buds Dispensary.
A typical day at Two Buds is busy, fast-paced, and all about helping customers figure out what products are right for them — whether they’re experienced consumers or first-timers. There’s a lot of conversation, and a lot of good energy in the shop.
What’s your most memorable sales experience?
One of the most memorable experiences is when someone comes in skeptical or unsure and leaves really happy with what they got. When they come back and tell us the product worked exactly how they hoped, that’s always a great feeling. It shows that the recommendations and the time spent helping them actually made a difference.
Where do you see the cannabis market heading in the next few years?
I think the cannabis market is just getting started, especially in New York. As the industry grows, we’re going to see more innovation, better products, and more focus on education. People are becoming more interested in quality and understanding what they’re consuming, and dispensaries are going to keep playing a big role in that.
