Planet Earth — DJs for Climate Action (DJs4CA) announces Earth Night 2026, its most expansive edition to date, with over 39 cities confirmed across multiple continents during Earth Week, April 22–26. From Brooklyn to Barcelona, from Hong Kong to Homer (Alaska), from Pereira to Paris — this year’s global wave of climate-aware nightlife is more geographically diverse and more community-rooted than any previous edition. At the heart of it all: not a single artist will board a plane to perform.
Under this year’s campaign banner DANCE LOCAL. ACT GLOBAL., DJs, promoters, and venues around the world have committed to performing exclusively within their own cities and regions, turning local gigs into a coordinated, planet-wide movement. “Earth Night is an opportunity to slow down, grow roots, and nourish the soil of our local scenes,” says Eli Goldstein, co-founder of Soul Clap and President of DJs4CA’s U.S. NGO, “while spreading our branches with a global community of like-minded artists and organizers.”

The confirmed event map spans the United States, France, Colombia, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong — with many cities joining Earth Night for the first time. The events themselves are as varied as the places hosting them. In Pereira, Colombia, the Ecolibre collective hosts its third Earth Night, combining DJ sets with art installations and documentary screenings. In Berlin, Sustain.ALL — a women-led sustainability platform at TU Berlin — pairs live sound and climate storytelling with a panel and podcast recording in collaboration with Betonstrand Music Label.
“For me, Earth is not an abstract concept; it is the ground we dance on,” says Su Berispek, founder of Sustain.ALL. “I am joining Earth Night to bridge climate leadership with sound and regenerative celebration.”
In Gâvres, a small Breton peninsula facing submersion due to rising sea levels, cultural centre Maison Glaz turns an existential climate reality into a reason to gather. “Party, arts and culture are part of our journey to becoming a resilient and lively island,” says the team at Maison Glaz, “celebrating a new kind of relationship with Nature and the Ocean.”
In Hong Kong, university students Oscar and Sisi of the OS2 DJ team join Earth Night for the first time, bringing the movement into one of Asia’s most vibrant nightlife scenes entirely on their own initiative. In Homer, Alaska, artist Alexa Maithe hosts a gathering combining music, yoga, and collective prayer to the Earth on a private deck overlooking the bay. In Paris, Cabaret Sauvage hosts Planète House at capacity, Badaboum presents Deborah Aimé La Bagarre, and Point Éphémère stages a panel on new ways of gathering. In Brooklyn, House of Yes returns as anchor venue, while a global livestream broadcasts live from The Lot Radio, and in California, Earth Night partners with marine biologist and author Ayana Elizabeth Johnson on her book tour, with DJ sets at Birch Aquarium, La Brea Tar Pits, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Earth Night 2025 brought together 8,000 people across 29 events in 12 countries, raised €6,300, avoided 180kg of plastic waste, and recorded zero carbon emissions from artist air travel. The 2026 edition is on track to surpass every one of those numbers.
“Perhaps ‘dance local, act global’ isn’t accessible to everyone every weekend,” says Nono Gigsta, co-organiser of the Earth Night event at Point Éphémère in Paris. “But Earth Night invites us to synchronise our efforts and experiment with more reciprocal ways of gathering.”
