Kicking off June 7, FUNGI is an immersive art takeover that invites you into the magical, mysterious world of mushrooms. Hosted by Brooklyn Mushroom and the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC), this juried international exhibition brings together over 40 multimedia works that blur the line between science and art.
Think: surreal sculptures, immersive installations, trippy soundscapes, fungi-fueled films, and live performances that’ll leave you rethinking what’s growing beneath your feet.

Got a mushroomy masterpiece? Submit your fungi-inspired work for a chance to be featured in the show. They’re accepting all media—from paintings to performance art—exploring the intersections of mycology, ecology, psychedelia, and beyond.

Throughout the month-long run, kids and adults can dive hands-first into creative workshops like mushroom drawing, mycelium crafting, and fungi-themed science labs. No prior spore experience required.

Red Hook’s newest pop-up café opens alongside the show, serving mushroom-forward dishes, vegan desserts, and local kombucha in an art-filled setting. It’s part café, part community hub, and 100% fungi-fabulous.
